TOQidex measures cannabis experiences across 8 distinct dimensions, moving beyond simple indica/sativa labels to capture the full spectrum of how a product affects you.
The 8 Coefficients of Cannabis Explained
Traditional cannabis classification relies heavily on plant type labels like indica, sativa, and hybrid. These labels are increasingly recognized as insufficient for predicting individual product experiences. Two products labeled the same way can produce very different effects depending on their specific cannabinoid and terpene profiles.
TOQidex replaces this oversimplification with the 8 Coefficients of Cannabis, a structured framework for measuring product experiences across distinct dimensions.
The 8 Coefficients are: Overall Score (OS), Initial Sensation (IS), Social/Euphoric (SE), Appetite/Comfort (AC), Introspective/Creative (IC), Uplifting/Calming (UC), Physical Intensity (PI), and Plateau/Longevity (PL). Each is scored on a 0-100 scale.
When you log a product experience, you rate it across these 8 dimensions. Your ratings are then correlated with the product's cannabinoid concentrations (13 compounds tracked) and terpene profile (34 terpenes tracked).
Over time, these correlations reveal patterns. You may discover that products high in Myrcene and CBN consistently score well for your Uplifting/Calming coefficient, or that high-Limonene products tend to score higher on your Social/Euphoric dimension.
After 10 or more logged experiences, TOQidex trains a personal machine learning model on your data. Three model architectures are tested in parallel, and the best performer is selected automatically. This model can then predict how untried products might score across all 8 dimensions based on their chemical profile.
The key insight is that cannabis effects are personal. What works for one person may not work for another. The 8 Coefficients framework captures this individuality by building predictions from your own data, not population averages.
